Taking Back Voting Rights in Ohio
In 2008, 1.7 million people voted early in Ohio—in person or by mail.
Now, new rules rushed through by Republicans in the Ohio Statehouse will severely restrict folks’ ability to vote early in 2012—meaning longer lines on Election Day, and fewer people making it to the polls.
It doesn’t have to be like this. If volunteers collect 231,000 petition signatures by September 29th, we can enact a citizens’ veto to prevent the law from taking effect in 2012.
Together, we can take back our voting rights. You can sign the petition at locations all over the state, then sign up to be a petition circulator—collecting signatures and helping to save early voting in Ohio.
