This week we wrapped up the eighth and final regional volunteer training. We began out west in Council Bluffs almost two weeks ago and ended things on Monday night in Dubuque. After our training team arrived back in Des Moines and took a closer look at the feedback from attendees, one thing was clear: Iowa volunteers loved #TrainIA!
Whether attendees were brand new to volunteering or seasoned veterans of previous election cycles, the response was overwhelmingly positive. Check out some of the comments left for our team on the training evaluations.
“This training helped me gain so much more knowledge about the campaign and what my team and I can do!”
“After #trainIA, I’m re-energized to be even more involved.”
“I'm very new at volunteering for this campaign and have much to learn. This was an excellent intro for me.”
“Amazing training! I honestly didn’t think I’d learn as much as I did.”
“The team workshop was the best! We were able to put into practice what we had just learned.”
“Very good presentation—simple, clear, and informative.”
“This training was so informative and very well organized.”
“I have been to more political training sessions than I care to remember. But this was legitimately one of the most useful and well organized I've ever attended.”
“Well worth the three hour commitment!”
From the entire Iowa training team, we'd just like to say thank you to everyone who made these training sessions such a success! And although this round of trainings has come to an end, it certainly won't be the last time our team hits the road. So stay tuned for details on Round 2 of #TrainIA in the coming months!
