Getting out the vote: Dawn

By Amy Lynn Smith on

Dawn is legally blind, but that doesn’t stop her from making phone calls and knocking on doors to get out the vote for the President.

What's more, this is the first time Dawn has ever volunteered for a campaign.

“I would not have been able to live with myself if I didn’t come do this and use my voice to help re-elect President Obama.”

Dawn has a long list of reasons she supports Barack Obama.

“The economy is moving in the right direction. Obamacare is helping millions of Americans get the health care coverage they need. President Obama believes in women’s reproductive rights and equal rights for everyone.”

She’s grateful he’s working to protect the environment and strengthen essential programs like Medicare and Medicaid.

“He stands for the rights of people — all people — and fairness for every American. He puts people first and he means what he says.”

Dawn is spending every spare hour she has getting out the vote for President Obama until the polls close on Tuesday. Why not find an hour or two to pitch in, too?
